JAMAICA

The devastation that’s left in the aftermath of hurricane Marissa is beyond imagination. It will take years for lives to be rebuilt as many people will have to start over from nothing. As we have been doing for many years in South Florida responding to disasters and assisting organizations with relief in the United States and abroad, we are actively preparing food, clothing and personal items for Jamaica.

Basic Requirement for Education and Development

Every country on the planet enjoys a piece of bread baked to their likeness. Bread is the basic meal a child or adult will eat before running off to school or work. Without a daily piece of bread, Educating a child is impossible.

A child cannot learn and develop on an empty stomach, empty book-bag, empty closets, and no love. Developing a wholesome life starts with these basic needs:

  • A place to live
  • Water to drink
  • Clothing / Uniforms
  • A classroom with teachers
  • Supplies for learning
  • Medical Attention
  • Activities - sports, music, developing the arts

Millions of children around the world will not have these basic requirements to realize self fulfillment and live productive lives. Some will never be in a class room, others may have a classroom but cannot attend due to lack and poverty, and some will graduate.

CBM treasures the eagerness of a child's desire to learn, providing supplies and support to the children of our generation in the U.S. and abroad.

We solicit the support of the private sector, civil society, faith communities who are doing great work, and inspiring young people.

Pray for People of Ukraine
Pray

CBM have contacted individuals and families from Ukraine during their difficult journey from their families and country. We are supporting as much as we can. Though the situation is very difficult, we have heard incredible testimonies of The Lord’s goodness in the midst of destruction.

Please continue to pray for the people of Ukraine. There are also many believers with awesome faith and courage. Don’t cease from praying.
